Dirk Frigne

Dirk Frigne is the CEO and CTO of Geosparc and has 15 years of experience in the GIS industry/community. He has been involved in numerous GIS projects as either developer, project leader or architectural consultant. Before joining Geosparc he was founder and Managing Director of DFC Software Engineering, a market leading GIS project company in Belgium. He built that company from scratch to a 15 person operation with several important GIS clients in government and industries like telecom, utilities etc.. Dirk is also one of the architects of the Geomajas application framework and knows how to translate business needs into technology features.

Jan Poté

Jan Poté is Marketing & Communication Manager of Geosparc and has more than 20 years of experience within the ICT industry and with marketing & communication projects. During his 20+ years marketing career he was product manager, marketing director and has been consulting various ICT companies about their marketing strategy and marketing planning.

Pieter De Graef
Community Manager

Pieter De Graef is Community Manager at Geosparc. He has been instrumental in developing the application framework Geomajas and he continues to develop it further together with the open source community of Geomajas. He is also responsible for building the community around the Geomajas technology and to spread the word about Geomajas capabilities and benefits through www.geomajas.org. Before joining Geosparc he was a developer working on GIS projects at DFC Software Engineering.

Jan De Moerloose
Software Architect

Jan De Moerloose is our Software Architect. Jan is an experienced and innovative software architect. He has been instrumental in designing the application framework Geomajas and he continues to develop it further together with the open source community of Geomajas. Before joining Geosparc he was working at DFC Software engineering where he managed several GIS development projects. Before DFC he worked at Alcatel Bell as Research & Software Engineer.

Joachim Van der Aura

Joachim Van der Auwera is software developer at Geosparc, breathing Open Source. Joachim is a senior Java developer and architect with many years of experience developing different type of enterprise applications and working with different programming languages. He has been active both in industry and research projects, and is a long time contributor to several Open Source projects.

Frank Maes
Manager Operations & Business Development

As Manager Operations & Business Development, Frank plays a pivotal role in the organisation. Not only is he the link between business development and the internal teams, he also makes sure that all our operations run smoothly. Frank joined Geosparc from Tele Atlas. At Tele Atlas, where he worked for the past 10 years, he built a significant experience in IT, GIS, outsourcing and operational management. The latest position Frank held, was Director Systems Engineering. In that role he built and managed a team of senior IT professionals and was responsible for the engineering program management for Tele Atlas' world-wide production system. Before that he was a GIS consultant at a VAR. Frank is a Master in Engineering in Land Management and Forestry of the University of Leuven.
